Students are taught following the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Syllabus, a program of instruction designed to instil solid fundamentals of dance and foster a lifelong love of the art form.
Students progress through the school to eventually be prepared to audition for a performing ensemble.
Our core principles.
Foster growth
Throughout the year, Rusalka dancers will provide feedback and inspiration to students in their regular classes, enriching their understanding of Ukrainian dance. Students will also have chances to perform at city festivals and beyond.
Dancing together
Launched in 2020, this initiative connects all dance students within the organization, offering them the opportunity to learn from and interact with current members of the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble year-round. This collaboration has inspired our dancers and strengthened our dance community.
Standardized syllabus
We're thrilled to introduce a new instructional syllabus for all dance classes at the Rusalka UNF School of Dance. This program focuses on fundamental skills, providing a strong foundation for Ukrainian folk dance training.
Technique & choreo
Dancers of select classes can join technique and choreography workshops, enhancing their weekly training at Rusalka UNF School. This initiative offers a chance to learn from professional instructors and choreographers, enriching their dance education.
